Camera Roll: Boston TechJam

For five years, the Boston TechJam has brought startups, established companies, entrepreneurs, students, venture capitalists, and artists to Boston to celebrate the technology ecosystem and culture of New England. This year’s festival, a collaboration between local tech companies, leading industry groups, and the City of Boston, was held last Thursday, June 15, at City Hall Plaza and drew more than 7,000 attendees. Naturally, we decided to stop by and see what all the fuss was about.

What we found was a true celebration of innovation, entrepreneurship, and tech culture that found the sweet spot between a tech expo and a block party. From robots, fitness, and audio tech to important discussions on diversity and leadership in the industry, innovators showed off their latest and greatest against a backdrop of live music, games, food, drinks, and exhibits from over 100 local companies. (And, of course, there was an Emerson booth, where the Admission team was passing out water bottles to thirsty guests and promoting the college’s entrepreneurial study programs.)
