« Patch Tuesday Preview | Main | Adobe Releases Patches for Mac and PC »

It's not the number of patches that counts...

...it's the significance of the vulnerabilities patched. Today Microsoft has released just four security patches, three of which are rated critical. One of the critical updates is for Excel, and applies to Office for Mac as well as Windows versions of the software. The other critical patches involve one for Outlook and one for Internet Explorer. The other patch they released today is for the Office 2003 Brazilian grammar checker. I recommend that all users install these updates on their computers as soon as possible.

For more information about patching and keeping your computers up to date, see the Patch Tuesday blog entry. More information about the Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.3 Update is available on the Microsoft web site.
