All summer faculty, students, and staff are invited to weekly lunch-time screenings of new titles we are previewing for possible purchase. Bring your lunch to our air-conditioned conference room (third floor Ansin Building), sit back, and enjoy the show. The Media Librarian asks only that you complete a feedback form on the film you view.
First up in our May Matinee series (Media Librarian reserves right to change the name) is the documentary China Blue, which follows a pair of blue jeans from manufacture to sale, in the process introducing us to two teenaged factory workers.
Join us on Wednesday, May 9, at 12:30 p.m. We'll supply beverages!

Ok, I'm reduced to commenting on my own blog!!!!
Anyway, preview update:
Excellent film, following three workers in a Guangzhou jeans factory. Really humanized the labor issues, the global economic issues--everyone who wears denim should see it.
