This is a 46 minute doc about tourists who travel to Bolivia to work in silver mines. sounds weird, but apparently "reality tourism" is a travel trend. Anyway, this would make an excellent double bill with our last preview, The Devil's Miner.
As usual, our preview session will be Wednesday 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. in the Media Services conference room.
Bring a sandwich, and enjoy Polar Springs water on us!

Ok, I liked Can't Do It In Europe very much. It's a nice length for a class, under an hour. The idea of "reality" or "cultural" tourism is a mind-blower. At one point, the guide who takes the tourists into the mines says something like "Nice excursion, huh? You get to sweat, breathe bad air, all for only 10.00!"
And the tourists chuckle nervously. That said, the production values are not great--probably because they were recording sound and shooting film in little tunnels underground.
