Book Recommendation

Historical Dictionary of Chile (3rd edition) by Salvatore Bizzarro
Do you mind if we ask why you’re recommending this title? It seems very specific and not related to Emerson’s curriculum. I don’t see any History courses relating to South America in the catalog. If you can provide me with a strong rationale for it, we’ll consider the book, but because it’s fairly expensive and out of scope, we wouldn’t be inclined to purchase it. In general, we will purchase reference books that support the curriculum or are in demand from a variety of students and faculty.

Book Recommendation

Comment/Suggestion

Over the last month or so, a lot of the computers in the library classroom have been very sluggish and slow to load.

We're checking with IT about this issue. Please let us know if you continue to experience any problems.

Comment/Suggestion

Books on reserve should not be in teachers possession indefinitely. New Sudden Fiction is long overdue and I needed it to do my work

The book New Sudden Fiction is currently not on reserve, but in the regular circulating collection. Whoever does have it checked out was supposed to return it in early November. If this book should be on reserve for a class, you can tell your teacher to contact the library and have it placed there. You can also put the book on hold through the library catalog, so that when it is finally returned, you will get an email and it will be held for you at the circulation desk. Contact the circulation desk (x8668) for help with that.
