Emerson College Media Services Center New Services

The Emerson College Media Services Center is providing students and faculty with new services this year.

• 6 individual computer production areas for creating different types of multimedia
• 2 Final Cut Pro stations with 36" LCD monitors for video editing
• 1 of the smaller computer stations will have the license for the online tutorial program Lynda.com. This license will allow students to perform self-directed tutorials in almost any computer program.
• MSC staff members will be available to work one-on-one with students who need assistance integrating media into their course assignments. This new service takes into account that students have different levels of computer literacy and may need assistance in using the technology required in their coursework. Students can make an appointment to use online tutorials on their own or work directly with staff members who will assist them in working with software to complete their assignments.
• The MSC has a video studio where students can videotape speeches and practice giving presentations. The room can be set up to project PowerPoint as well as other material that may be needed to make the presentation.
• MSC will provide a video digitizing service for faculty. Along with our regular video duplication services, we will be providing a service that will digitize video material for faculty members. This material can be uploaded to the Emerson online media library, Median.

Please call the MSC at (617) 824-8676 to learn more about any of these services.
