Democrats Officially Nominate Obama

It's official. Senator Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee for President of the United States. Obama won when Senator Hillary Clinton withdrew her name from nomination during her New York State roll call vote. That meant Obama won the nomination by acclamation. The roll call vote stopped and the convention crowd went wild. They joined in singing the song "Love Train" which was being pumped through the public address system. Tomorrow night Barack Obama will accept the nomination at Invesco Field in Denver. Over 70,000 will be in the stands.
