Palin is going for Senator Hillary Clinton's "18 million cracks in the ceiling." As Senator John McCain's running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said women in America aren't finished yet. She said that women can shatter the glass ceiling once and for all.
Today Palin's speech in Dayton, Ohio was full of praise for McCain. She did not mention Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama nor did she attack his campaign. Instead her focus was women voters. Palin honored the achievements of former Demnocratic Vice Presidential nominee Geraldine Ferraro (1984 race) and Senator Hillary Clinton who Palin said showed great determination in her recent presidential campaign.
Palin has not been a prominent figure in McCain's campaign until now.
