Thanks for posting this blog. As an ambassador, this is a place I visit when things seem too hard. When my doubts and the problems just seem like too much. I feel like when I stop by here, it’s like finding a friend to join me that’s able to encourage me to keep up the pace and stay off the couch.

I like that this blog is for all of us- those who breathe the news (and seem to know everything about all of the issues) and for people like me who can barely find the time to shower. Thanks again for your amazing work. I would have never even known about the MDGs if it weren’t for your campaign.

What’s happening is revolutionary. It’s awesome to know that this is the first time in history that 189 major world leaders have come together and agreed to change the way we operate. Finally, a reason to stop w8ting!!

Vision is not enough, it must be combined with venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps, we must step up the stairs.

small steps

hi there.

welcome to our very first blog entry. welcome to a community of people who have stopped waiting and summoned the courage to take the first small steps- to find out more, to make a difference.

as writer Barry Lopez once said, “sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive.” stories inspire us and remind of us who we are and, more importantly, who we can be. stories help keep us focused on why we’re investing our lives in something bigger than ourselves.

and let’s be honest, most of us are pretty conflicted about what we think is possible. this blog is about telling the story of how we’re changing the world as we know it. taking a step away from our apathy, away from our fears and refusing to wait around for someone else, another country, another generation, to change the world.

this is a place to come for inspiration. come by when you need to read that others are doing what we sometimes feel is impossible. stop by when you just need a little pick me up and want to hear how our last event went. (we’re happy to be your personal cheer squad.)

see you soon.
