I've wanted to be a film director since I was in 8th grade. I made some home movies, acted in a feature length movie back in Peru and took many film summer courses (including at the New York Film Academy), hence I truly thought I was prepared to enter Emerson and become a director in one day.
Now, Emerson College slapped me back to reality and made me realize that we are in one of the toughest business we are in, and if you really want to make it in the film business, you have to work twice as hard as everyone else. So yes, my time at Emerson only made me understand the true difficulties that we are getting ourselves into, that's why it made me study twice as hard to achieve my goals. I did not want to change majors, but rather this college has motivated me to learn more about making films and challenge myself so that when the day comes that I have to go out there and get a job (and believe me that day is just down the corner) I know I'll be ready to face reality.

Even the gurus will agree with what is being said here. I am glad I found it.
Good Day.
I never thought I will agree with this opinion, but you know... I agree partially now.
I have been searching for this information and finally found it. Thanks!
